Dominion arrives as a preview, and next season’s rules are locked in. Update the Android app from Google Play to see the Dominion boards.
Dominion (preview)
What is Dominion? Dominion measures how much of the galaxy you actually control. XP shows how hard you’ve played and credits show how rich you are. Dominion rewards holding ground: ports you’ve taken, planets you’ve built up, starbases you’ve raised. It builds up over time, so an empire held for weeks outscores a quick grab. Corps score together, so a corp that holds territory as a team can top the board without the richest captain.
- How it scores: every 4 hours you earn points for what you hold: 500 per port, 20 per planet structure level, and 1,000 per starbase. A bare rock scores nothing.
- New Dominion boards on the Leaderboards tab: Captains or Corps, for the whole season or the last 30 days. Hidden planets still count, and no locations are shown.
- This season it’s a preview. It doesn’t change your podium or awards on AstraPrime. Next season it counts.
Next season’s rules (AstraPrime plays on unchanged)
- One season score: XP, credits, kills and Dominion together decide the podium and the overall board.
- New awards: Galactic Dominion (top captain, plus every member of the top corp), Legend Leader, Protection Racket and Colonist.
- Trade XP comes from profit. You earn XP when you sell, based on what you made. Buying and dumping at the same port earns nothing.
- A ladder that fits the season. Levels are paced so a steady captain reaches level 100 about 80% of the way through the season.
- Epic goals scale with season length and with how many captains are playing.
- Gates reset to the new ladder: tech modules, mercenaries, planet mine-laying and posting in Galaxy chat.
- Bigger PvP takes: the cash a winner can take grows with the loser’s hull tier, from 10k at T1 to 500k at T7. It still comes from the wallet only; banked credits stay safe.
- Trade-ins refund half your upgrades: trading a hull in returns 50% of what its stat upgrades cost.
