v1.17.0 — StarNav Usability Polish
v1.17.0 focuses on making StarNav 2002 feel more readable, interactive, and trustworthy in day-to-day navigation.
This update tightens the expanded scanner experience, reduces compact-map clutter, and makes upgrade information easier to understand before you spend credits.
Expanded StarNav Is Easier to Use
The expanded StarNav map now stays inside Android safe areas so the map and legend remain visible above the system navigation area.
Sector taps work again in expanded view, and pinch zoom now responds correctly so dense local space is easier to inspect.
Expanded and Compact Views Now Match
The full-screen scanner keeps the same visual language as the compact card instead of switching to a different presentation style.
That means the expanded map feels like a larger version of the same instrument rather than a separate UI.
Compact Scanner Clarity
The compact StarNav view now emphasizes the 1-hop map and reduces 2-hop and 3-hop clutter until you expand the scanner.
The compact header controls are cleaner, the expand affordance is more obvious, and Nav -> Recent Sectors now starts collapsed so the scanner stays the focal point.
Level-Aware Scanner Labels and Legend
StarNav now reflects purchased progression more clearly.
- The header label scales with your installed StarNav level
- The legend only shows intel categories your current scanner tier can actually reveal
This keeps the scanner readout aligned with the intel you have earned.
Clearer Upgrade Pricing
StarNav purchase and upgrade modals now show a pricing breakdown so the final cost is easier to trust at a glance.
You can see the base price, the discount or penalty sources that apply, and the final computed total instead of guessing why the numbers changed.
