v1.16.0 — StarNav 2002 Scanner
v1.16.0 adds StarNav 2002, a new permanent scanner upgrade path for ships.
Install it in the TriStar Shipyard, upgrade it across five levels, and use the new scanner card on the Nav screen to understand nearby sectors with much better clarity.
StarNav 2002 in the TriStar Shipyard
Ships can now install StarNav 2002 as a dedicated upgrade in the TriStar Shipyard.
It follows a ship-based progression model, so the scanner stays tied to the ship you invest in.
Five Levels of Scanner Progression
StarNav 2002 now scales across five levels instead of a flat scanner tier system.
As you invest more credits and XP, the scanner expands both its range and the level of detail it can reveal.
Better Sector Awareness on the Nav Screen
The Nav screen now includes a dedicated scanner card in place of the older Connected Sectors view.
That scanner shows nearby sectors, ports, planets, starports, and contact activity with increasing detail as your StarNav level improves.
Ship Progression With Real Navigation Payoff
This release turns navigation intel into a meaningful ship progression path instead of a static utility.
Upgrading StarNav 2002 gives captains better route planning, better local awareness, and a stronger reason to invest in their current ship.
