Every screen in Big Bang Smugglers is built from panels: the Sector panel, Contacts, STARNAV, Move, Warp Drive, your ship’s Combat and Hold, the Shipyard’s Drives, and so on. Since 3.0 you decide which ones you see, in what order, and which start folded.

Your layout is saved to your account, not your device. Change it on the web and your phone shows the same thing. It carries over from season to season.

Folding a panel

Tap a panel’s title bar to fold it to one line. Tap again to open it. The game remembers every fold, so a panel you folded stays folded when you come back.

Panel options: long-press

Press and hold any panel’s title bar to open Panel options:

  • Hide this panel — it disappears from the screen. It isn’t gone; bring it back from the editor.
  • Move up / Move down — swap it with its neighbour.
  • Collapsed by default — the panel starts folded every time.
  • Customize panels… — jumps to the full editor for that screen.

The full editor

Settings › Display › Customize panels lists all ten screens:

ScreenWhat lives there

Open a screen and every panel is listed in its current order. Each row has a show/hide switch, ▲ ▼ to reorder, and a Collapsed by default toggle.

Panels you can’t hide

Some panels carry a 🔒. They are either the only way to do something important or the thing that keeps you alive, so they always show.

  • Fixed in place (📌): Sector, Contacts and Move on Nav; the Dock’s services list; a planet’s ownership banner; the Station Directory; the galaxy feed and post box; Season, Display and Account in Settings.
  • Movable but never hidden: STARNAV, Warp Drive, Wormholes, a planet’s landing panel, Shipyard maintenance, your Ship panel, corporation invitations and membership, Mail, and your Profile.

Alerts, banners and pop-ups (encounters, arrests, the escape pod) are never panels. Nothing you do in the editor can hide them.

Getting your layout back

  • Reset this tab at the bottom of each screen’s editor puts that one screen back the way it shipped.
  • Reset all panels on the editor’s first page resets every screen and every fold. It asks you to confirm first.

If a layout ever fails to load, the game shows the default layout instead of an empty screen.

The header

The bar at the top of every screen is not a panel and can’t be hidden. Its first row shows your name and rank, the season and turn clocks, and the galaxy. Tap your name to open your Captain page: stats, trophies, the unlock ladder and your mail.

The second row is a summary — turns, credits, shields and hull — with your XP bar underneath. Tap the summary to open the details: the full turn and credit readouts and your shield and hull bars.
